Employment Resources for MilSpouses

Primary Text Separator for Milspouse Money Mission, Financial Education for Military Spouses

Over the last 16 years, I have faithfully relocated my family nine times in order to support my active-duty husband’s career in the Army. But I also have my own dreams and aspirations! I have always felt a calling to work within the federal government as a public servant, and I know the struggles of having to leave that “perfect” position when new orders are cut.

Each time we PCS, I look on usajobs.gov and apply for positions under the Military Spouse Non-competitive Appointing Authority. I have used Military OneSource’s Spouse Education and Career Opportunities (SECO) program, Army Community Service, and the local Civilian Personnel Advisory Center (CPAC) to assist me with my resume and job search. As a military spouse, I have had to figure out ways to highlight my Family Readiness Group (FRG) experience while balancing multiple moves in a year and employment gaps while raising our children.
